What a year... of gratitude!
Thank you, everyone. To my performers, technicians, parents, teachers, and administration: if you have been involved in any part of this show, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This production truly would not have happened without you. The level of support I have received has been incredible, and I am so deeply grateful.
This show has been a brand-new experience for me. Never before have I fully handed the reins of a production over to the students, and they stepped up in ways that have made me so proud! Aeron Eury saw a void and filled it beyond my wildest hopes. Aeron has been integral to every production for the past four years, truly understands what a MICS show should be, and has ably led our cast and crew. When I returned, I found the team so well-organized I hardly knew what to do with myself! I am bursting with pride for Aeron and the entire cast for how beautifully they worked together.
They were not alone in this journey. I want to extend a very special thank you to two incredible teachers: Mrs. Malinda Cobb and Ms. Candace Nance. They were vital in ensuring both High School Musical Jr. and Chicago made it to the finish line. From driving trucks to managing me during those long hours at school, these two ladies deserve all the thanks I can heap upon them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Finally, this year, we are saying a bittersweet "see you later" to a group of extremely talented seniors. I’ve been told I’m not allowed to "strong-arm" their teachers into failing them just to keep them here another year, so instead, I want to congratulate:

What a list! We have been so blessed by their participation, and I am honored to have been part of their journeys. This group possesses incredible talent—from exceptional dancers and singers to hyper-organized technicians and... well, "developing" gymnasts (sorry, Colson!). It has been my great pleasure to teach you, and even more so, to learn from you. You will all be remembered and are always welcome back home at Mountain Island Charter School!
