as Tracy Turnblad

(Performing on May 7) Katarina Morales is a 12th grader and has attended NTCA for seven years. She has performed in An Occurrence at the Steel Tomb (Pastor Nancy), Camp Stowaways (Megan’s Mom), The Sound of Music (Singing Nun), and Mary Poppins (Dancer), and worked on crew for several productions. She describes Hairspray as diverse, upbeat, and fun.

(Performing on May 6) Katie Javier is a 7th grader and has attended NTCA for five years. She has performed in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and The Land of the Stars. She hopes Hairspray inspires the audience to persevere against adversity and keep pushing forward no matter the challenges.
Gabriella Pagan

Gabriella Pagan is a 10th grader and has attended NTCA for eight years. She has performed in Camp Stowaways, Little Women, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, All Is Well, The Doors, Annie, Crimson House Murder, Never Forsaken, Mary Poppins, and As You Are. Her favorite part of Hairspray is making memories with friends and meeting new people.

Bryce Gilliam is a 10th grader and has attended NTCA for seven years. He has performed in For My Cross and For My Crown, Camp Stowaways, Little Women, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, All Is Well, Mary Poppins, As You Are, and Hairspray. One word to describe his character is: goofy.

as Motormouth Maybelle

Caryn Holman is an 11th grader and has attended NTCA for seven years. She has performed in Never Forsaken and Mary Poppins. Her favorite part of Hairspray is bringing soul, emotion, and energy to Motormouth, capturing the character’s vibrant personality in every line and song.
