Directors Note:
I am thrilled to bring Hi Ho, Robin Hood to the stage through Pioneer Drama, and especially honored to do so as the very first production of Penguin Players. This production would not be possible without the support of First United Methodist Church, and I extend my sincere thanks for the use of the Crossroads Ministry Center and the support of our mission.
This show represents an exciting new chapter built on the heart and success of the Penguin Project, expanding its mission to include adults with special needs and creating meaningful opportunities for performers of all abilities to shine. Penguin Players was created with the belief that theater should be joyful, welcoming, and accessible to everyone, celebrating individuality, collaboration, and creativity both onstage and off.
Hi Ho, Robin Hood is the perfect launch for Penguin Players—bold, playful, and full of heart. I am deeply grateful to the cast, families, volunteers, and community supporters who helped make this vision a reality, and I look forward to many more productions where inclusion, storytelling, and courage take center stage.
