The art of theatre matters so much to me because it allows me to be someone that isn't myself. I don't hate myself by any means but pretending to be someone else and processing what they want,their emotions give me a thrill and I love it! Theatre to me is my home away from home. Theatre gives me a space to be the most authentic version of myself.

Performing allows me to be lost in the art I am creating. I am able to learn more about who I am as a person and connect with those around me.

I perform because it’s all I’ve ever known. Art is my life, whether onstage or behind a canvas. Being raised in a multigenerational family of artists has helped build my confidence in my abilities. As a kid, I’d gather my family to watch my performances. So, as I used to say, “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, grandmas and grandpas, try the veal and enjoy the show!

There is no better feeling than the warm stage lights on my face, my body tired from intense dancing, and my cheeks hurting from how hard I’m smiling! I perform because I want to share my God-given gift with the world. It sets me free. Dance lets me explore within myself, and the world around me, and creates paths towards a future I am most excited for!

For me, the stage is the one place where everything else falls away. The noise, the worry, the weight of being "on" in real life. All of it quiets the second I step into the lights. Performing is a way I love to escape from my real life, and give me something to focus on to keep me going. There’s so much beauty and relatability I feel when performing, and I am proud to say it truly has changed my life for the better.
